Why We Exist: The Frances B. North Legacy
The North Legacy Project, is a heartfelt tribute to Frances B. North (1919–2017), a Seattle civic leader whose tireless work united communities and transformed barriers into opportunities. Frances’s passion for justice, education, and service inspires our mission to empower underserved families—especially in Antioch, California and beyond.
Frances understood what too many families learn the hard way: the system doesn't automatically work for everyone. You have to make it work. That's exactly what North Legacy Project does for special needs families today.
Frances B. North didn't just break barriers—she obliterated them.
Her legacy guides our commitment to equity in education for all children.
Our Mission: No Family Fights Alone
Every child with special needs deserves an advocate who understands the law, knows the system, and isn't afraid to fight for what's right. We serve families throughout California and Washington, with virtual advocacy available nationwide when expertise is needed.
You’re Not Alone—We’re the Piece That Makes It All Fit.
